Viasat Nature

Viasat Nature offers a wide range of high-quality, award-winning and entertaining nature documentaries. We follow vets, wildlife experts and celebrities on their fascinating journeys; we meet dangerous predators, sweet cuddly pets and wild animals from all over the world.

Viasat Nature was called TV6 Nature World when it was introduced in the Nordic region in February 1998. It got its current name in 2002.

Viasat Nature was rebranded in April 2010.

Viasat Nature is broadcast between 06:00 and 20:00 every day.

Viasat Nature is available through Viasat’s digital satellite TV platform in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland and is also distributed via third party cable TV and IPTV networks.

Viasat Nature East was launched in May 2010 in 25 countries in Central & Eastern Europe. Viasat Nature East is broadcast 24 hours every day.

In February 2011 distribution of the channel was for the first time extended outside Europe, to Africa, through two satellite TV networks in Nigeria and a cable TV network in Kenya, where it is broadcast for 12 hours per day. Eight months later, in October 2011, Viasat Nature was also made available on Chinese operator StarTimes’ DTT networks in Nigeria, Uganda and Tanzania, as well as on Zuku's DTH platform in Uganda.
