Viasat Fotboll is Sweden’s only dedicated football channel. Viasat Fotboll has exclusive live broadcasting rights to UEFA Champions League and Barclays Premier League matches; the English FA Cup; Chelsea and Manchester United club TV and the French league and is sharing the rights to Inter, Juventus, Milan, Fiorentina, Genoa, Roma, Cagliari, Lazio, Catania and Bologna's home matches in the Italian football league Serie A.
Viasat Fotboll in Sweden was launched in October 2008 when the current Viasat Sport, Viasat Fotboll and Viasat Motor structure in Sweden replaced the previous Swedish Viasat Sport 1 and the pan-Nordic/pan-Baltic Viasat Sport 2 and Viasat Sport 3 channels, reflecting the growing demand for localised premium sports content.
Norway launched their Viasat Fotball in September 2009.
Viasat Fotboll is broadcast between 12:00 and 02:00 every day.
The first Viasat Sport channel was launched in the Nordic region in March 1999.
Viasat Fotboll is available through Viasat’s digital satellite TV platform in Sweden and is also distributed via third party cable TV and IPTV networks.
