Viasat Film Family broadcasts premium movies for the whole family, with around the clock laughter and entertainment from hit family-orientated comedy and animated features.
Viasat Film Family was launched as TV1000 Family in September 2004 when the original TV1000 and its complementary channel TV1000 Cinema in the Nordic region were rebranded and extended into six thematic premium movie channels.
To mark the 20th anniversary of the launch of Viasat’s pay-TV services, the TV1000 movie channel brand was rebranded to Viasat Film across the Nordic region. In addition, Viasat also launched four new Viasat Film premium pay-TV HD movie channels in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland on 1 March 2012.
All the Viasat Film channels are available on the Viasat satellite pay-TV platform and are also distributed via IPTV and cable TV networks.
