TV1000 Nordic broadcasts premium movies from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, comprising a combination of new releases as well as massively popular and famous vintage film productions.
TV1000 Nordic was launched in September 2004 when the original TV1000 and its complementary channel TV1000 Cinema in the region were rebranded and extended into six thematic premium movie channels.
In the Nordic region all TV1000 channels were rebranded in February 2009 when an additional thematic channel, TV1000 Drama, was launched. TV1000 in the other 20 countries will be rebranded later in 2009.
TV1000 Nordic is broadcast 24 hours a day.
The first TV1000 channel was launched in Sweden, Norway and Denmark in August 1989.
TV1000 Nordic is available through Viasat’s digital satellite TV platform in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland and is also distributed via third party cable TV and IPTV networks.
