TV1000 Action broadcasts premium movies, comprising America's finest all-action blockbusters and thrillers to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
TV1000 Action was launched in September 2004 when the original TV1000 and its complementary channel TV1000 Cinema in the Nordic region were rebranded and extended into six thematic premium movie channels.
An additional TV1000 Action channel was launched in September 2008 in Russia, other countries within CIS and in the Baltic states.
In the Nordic region all TV1000 channels were rebranded in February 2009 when an additional thematic channel, TV1000 Drama, was launched. TV1000 Action East was rebranded in December 2009.
TV1000 Action is broadcast 24 hours a day.
The first TV1000 channel was launched in Sweden, Norway and Denmark in August 1989.
TV1000 Action is available through Viasat's digital satellite TV platform in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland and is also distributed via third party cable TV and IPTV networks in those countries. TV1000 Action East is available through Viasat’s digital satellite TV platform in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine, through Raduga TV in Russia and is also distributed via third party networks in the Baltics, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
