Viasat Sport HD Norway broadcasts a selection of events from Viasat's other sports channels, such as UEFA Champions League, in HD.
Viasat Sport HD was launched in January 2008 in conjunction with Viasat’s introduction of its HDTV service, ViasatHD, on the satellite TV platform in the Nordic region.
Viasat Sport HD is broadcast between 12:00 and 02:00 every day.
Viasat Sport HD was originally available through Viasat’s digital satellite TV platforms and third party networks in Sweden, Norway and Finland. In June 2010 Norway got their own Viasat Sport HD. The Swedish/Finnish version remained until March 2011 when the channel was replaced in Sweden by Viasat Fotboll HD and Viasat Finland extended its strategic cooperation with the Sanoma Group.
