MTG’s CDON is the number one internet retailer of entertainment products in the Nordic region. CDON sells CDs, DVDs, games, books and electronic products, and also provides music downloads and on-demand film streaming.
In August 2007 CDON acquired Nelly and in December 2007 two additional acquisitions were made – Linus & Lotta and BookPlus. Established in 2003, Nelly has grown to become one of Sweden’s leading fashion retailers on the internet. Linus & Lotta is the leading online retailer of children’s clothing in the Nordic region. BookPlus is one of Finland’s leading online book retailers.
In December 2007, CDON also made a recommended offer for the entire outstanding share capital of Gymgrossisten Nordic AB, a website that has a leading position in the Swedish market for nutritional supplement products. As at 6 February 2008, MTG controlled 99.42% of the issued and outstanding shares in Gymgrossisten. The company was delisted from the First North market place of the Nasdaq OMX Stockholm on 29 February 2008, and after a mandatory tender MTG became the owner of the remaining outstanding shares on 24 November 2008.
Bet24 is MTG’s gaming and betting operation and provides customers with the latest online gaming, betting, poker and casino products, including live online sports betting.
The teletext operation MTG Spain is also part of the Online group of businesses.
